Sadık Sher-Niyaz: The Parliamentary Seat Cost Me 300 Thousand Dollars
According to Sadik Sher-Niyaz, the ambassador of Kyrgyzstan in France, he had to invest 300 thousand dollars to obtain a deputy mandate. This information was announced in a podcast by the agency "Kabar." He noted that significant financial expenses during elections are related to advertising campaigns and various organizational costs.
“Many deputies share the amounts they spent on their elections, but this is just the tip of the iceberg. Unfortunately, colossal funds are necessary to participate in elections. I won’t name specific individuals, but many well-known figures from the cultural sphere, such as writers and historians, were unable to enter parliament due to a lack of necessary finances,” he added.
