According to the diplomat, in previous years, the focus was on attracting any investments without a thorough assessment of their consequences and content.
“Previously, we enthusiastically accepted any investments, literally welcoming investors with boorsoks and butter. However, now the country has established stability and the rule of law, which has led to an increase in the number of investors. In this regard, we have started to pay attention to the quality of projects,” he noted.
Sadik Sher-Niyaz added that the new approach to investments involves selecting those projects that bring real benefits to the economy of Kyrgyzstan, contribute to its sustainable development, and align with national interests.
