The Minister of Health, Kanaybek Dosmambetov, introduced the new head of "Kyrgyzpharmacy," Bolot Junusov, and outlined the main reasons that led to the ineffective functioning of the enterprise and its systemic crisis.
According to the minister, the problems faced by "Kyrgyzpharmacy" were caused not by external factors or a lack of funding, but by internal management deficiencies. He pointed to weak management, conflicts of interest, and, in some cases, the active involvement of the previous leadership in schemes of interaction with pharmaceutical companies. These circumstances, in Kanaybek Dosmambetov's opinion, were the reason for disruptions in procurement and delays in the supply of vital medicines and medical products for hospitals and the population.
The minister emphasized that even with available funding, the efficiency of "Kyrgyzpharmacy" was minimized, which necessitated strict personnel measures. He added that an important criterion for appointing the new director was the absence of connections with pharmaceutical structures.
The new director of "Kyrgyzpharmacy," Bolot Junusov, as noted by the minister, has experience in public service, international diplomacy, and crisis management, and is not affiliated with industry companies. These qualities, in Kanaybek Dosmambetov's view, will help stabilize the enterprise's operations and restore its important role in the country's pharmaceutical supply system.
