Licensing for passenger transportation by cars began on September 12, 2025, and on December 3 of the same year, a government act was adopted that extended the deadline for obtaining a license to February 1, 2026.
Despite multiple warnings to drivers about the need to timely obtain licenses, by December 2025, only a small number of them managed to meet this requirement. Currently, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has intensified the licensing process in every region of the country. More than 8,000 individuals and 300 legal entities have already received their licenses, as reported in the ministry's official release.
At present, taxi licenses are being issued at all divisions of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (GUOBDD).
