Preparation for airstrikes? An American aircraft carrier group has arrived off the coast of Iran
U.S. forces led by the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln have arrived in the Persian Gulf, near the Iranian shores. It is currently unclear whether President Donald Trump's plan to strike Iran in response to the brutal suppression of protests will be carried out, but analysts believe that the necessary forces are already in place.

The U.S. Central Command has officially confirmed the arrival of the strike group, which has been making its way to the Middle East for over a week from the southeastern shores of Asia.

According to the New York Times, a possible strike on Iran could occur within 48 hours.

Since December, mass protests have been taking place in Iran. Donald Trump previously urged protesters in Iran to "keep fighting" and warned the Tehran authorities of possible military intervention if they resorted to violence against demonstrators.

According to Iranian human rights defenders from HRANA, 3,090 people have died as a result of the brutal suppression of protests.

Currently, protests have spread to 585 locations in 186 cities, covering 31 provinces of Iran, and the number of detainees exceeds tens of thousands.

In response to the escalation of the situation, Iran's air defense has been put on heightened alert.

We remind you that the country has been without internet for more than two weeks, and mobile communication has been disconnected.

Mass protests, triggered by economic difficulties and the devaluation of the national currency, have been ongoing since late December 2025.
