According to information provided by the press service, on January 27, the mayor, accompanied by specialists from the relevant services, inspected the 4-story building on Tileke Batyr Street, which belongs to Alimzhan Baigazakov, a former vice mayor and currently an auditor of the Accounts Chamber.
This building was erected without permits on the territory of the old bus station and falls under the restrictions of the water protection zone of the Ak-Buura River. Despite repeated warnings about the need for demolition, the requirement has not been fulfilled to date.
In light of the above, the mayor of Osh ordered the demolition of the specified building, as well as neighboring structures, including bus station No. 1, which is currently not functioning according to its original purpose.
It is worth noting that earlier, at the mayor's directive, the hotel complex "Kristall," located near this building, was also demolished.
Turmush previously reported that by December 15, 2025, the demolition work of the "Kristall" hotel in Osh was 90% complete.
Currently, the main part of the hotel has been destroyed, and the process of clearing construction debris is ongoing.
As of now, all internal structures, the roof, and the walls of the hotel have been almost completely dismantled, heavy machinery is operating on the site, and construction waste is being removed.
- We remind you that the demolition work of the "Kristall" hotel began in October. Municipal services explained that the decision to demolish was made due to the location of the facility in the 50-meter protective zone of the river. Despite warnings, the owners continued to operate the building.
- At a session of the city council, Mayor Jenishbek Toktorbaev previously stated that the hotel would be demolished.
