At the meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on labor, health, women's affairs, and social issues, held on January 27, it became known that Kyrgyzstan has filed a lawsuit against Russia in the Court of the Eurasian Economic Union.

Deputy Gulnara Baatyrova emphasized the need to resolve issues related to obtaining medical insurance policies and servicing migrants from Kyrgyzstan in Russia.

The head of the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund (MHIF), Azamat Mukhanov, reported that relevant work is underway.

He noted: "The Kyrgyz side has taken Russia to court for failing to meet the conditions stipulated in the EAEU agreements. The mandatory health insurance policy should also extend to the family members of those working in Russia. This agreement has been signed by five states."

Mukhanov added that a court hearing took place last week, and a decision is expected in two weeks.
