At the meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on labor, health, women's affairs, and social issues, it was announced that Kyrgyzstan has initiated legal proceedings within the EAEU regarding mandatory health insurance for labor migrants. This was reported by the chairman of the FOMS, Azamat Mukhanov.

Deputy Gulnara Baatyrova emphasized the need to simplify the procedure for obtaining health insurance policies for migrants within the EAEU.

In response, Mukhanov noted that work in this direction is ongoing. "Recently, Kyrgyzstan filed a lawsuit in the EAEU court. A meeting took place last week, and the results will be known in two weeks. The Russian side is not fulfilling its obligations under the agreement within the EAEU, demanding that health insurance also extend to the families of labor migrants. This issue was raised during the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Alexey Overchuk," he added.

Baatyrova noted that citizens with labor contracts no longer face problems. "However, the Ministry of Social Development continues to receive inquiries regarding citizens who have suffered in the workplace, for example, those who have fallen from heights. Here, it is necessary to establish joint work," she concluded.
