The committee of the Jogorku Kenesh responsible for constitutional issues, local self-government, and regulations has adopted a draft law concerning amendments to several regulatory acts of the Kyrgyz Republic. In particular, the changes affect the laws "On the Licensing and Permitting System," "On Advocacy and Advocacy Activities," and "On State-Guaranteed Legal Assistance." This decision was made in the first reading.
Deputy Minister of Justice Orozbek Sydykov emphasized that the aim of developing this draft law is to improve the system of state legal assistance and optimize the work of the advocacy in the country. The main tasks facing the draft law include enhancing the organizational structure of the system of guaranteed legal assistance through the introduction of modern information technologies, as well as reducing excessive administrative procedures related to the activities of the advocacy.
