Adele Joomartova, the chief specialist of the state benefits department, noted in an interview on "Birinchi Radio" that starting in 2026, the one-time benefit "Bala bereke" will be granted for the fourth and subsequent children born from January 1 who will reside in high-altitude and remote areas. However, actual payments will only be made starting in 2027, when the children reach one year of age.
The amounts of the "Bala bereke" benefit are defined as follows:
- for the 4th child - 100,000 soms;
- for the 5th child - 600,000 soms;
- for the 6th child - 800,000 soms;
- for the 7th child - 1 million soms;
- for the 8th child - 1.2 million soms;
- for the 9th child - 1.5 million soms;
- for the 10th and subsequent children - 2 million soms.
According to preliminary estimates from the Ministry of Labor, 11,000 newborns are expected in high-altitude areas in 2026.Additionally, as the specialist reminded, starting January 1, families with children under three years old living in remote and hard-to-reach areas, as well as in certain border zones with special conditions, will receive a monthly benefit "Biyik tooluu aymaktardyn zhashoochularyna komok" ("Assistance to residents of high-altitude areas"). The benefit amount is 3,000 soms for each child under three years old.
"For example, if a family has three children, and the youngest is 2.5 years old, they will receive the benefit for six months at 3,000 soms per month. Payments for January will be made in February. It is important that the children live with their parents," added Joomartova.
Furthermore, the representative of the Ministry of Labor reported that payments for the following benefits continue:
- "Uy-bologo komok" - for low-income families with children under 16 years old - 1,200 soms, taking into account the coefficient for high-altitude areas (currently, 45,000 families or 163,000 children receive this benefit);
- "Balaga suyunchu" - a one-time payment of 4,000 soms upon the birth of a child;
- social assistance for citizens not entitled to a pension - from 2,000 to 8,000 soms;
- benefit for children who are orphans - 6,000 soms.
