The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan is working on the repatriation of medical personnel

The online meeting organized by the Ministry of Health gathered Kyrgyz medical professionals working in countries such as Germany, the USA, the UK, Russia, and the Middle Eastern states.

Under the leadership of Deputy Ministers Bakytbek Kadyraliev and Temirbek Erkinov, the event became a platform for sharing experiences and discussing current issues in the field of medicine.

The main goal of the meeting was to discuss international experience, innovations in medicine, training of medical personnel, and the digitalization of the healthcare system, as well as opportunities for doctors working abroad to participate in the development of medicine in Kyrgyzstan.

Specialists shared their achievements gained in prestigious clinics and made a number of proposals for improving domestic healthcare. Among them were the implementation of modern technologies such as bronchoscopy and NGS diagnostics, as well as improvements in oncology, pulmonology, transplantation, and anesthesiology, issues related to hemodialysis, and the creation of mobile clinics.

Many proposals concerned staffing issues.
The participants expressed interest in training specialists from Kyrgyzstan, organizing internships and lectures, as well as attracting professors to perform surgeries and conduct master classes.

Conditions for the return of specialists to the republic and their participation in professional projects were also discussed.
The deputy ministers noted that the Ministry of Health views the involvement of foreign specialists as an important element for the development of the healthcare system and plans to create platforms for further experience exchange. Proposed activities include in-person and online meetings in countries with a large number of Kyrgyz doctors, participation in the Mirrahimov Readings, as well as engagement in digital and staffing reforms.

“The shortage of personnel in medicine is a serious problem for our state. We are open to cooperation and will seek practical solutions that will help attract experience and technologies in the interests of our patients,” said Bakytbek Kadyraliev.

The format of such meetings will be regular.

“The Ministry of Health will continue its efforts to create conditions for involving foreign specialists in scientific, educational, and clinical activities, including internship programs, expert support, and the repatriation of medical personnel,” the department added.
