An online session organized by the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan gathered specialists working in the medical field from countries such as Germany, the USA, the UK, Russia, and the Middle East. The event was led by Deputy Ministers Bakytbek Kadyraliev and Temirbek Erkinov, as reported by the ministry's press service.
The main goal of the meeting was to discuss the exchange of professional experience, the implementation of international practices in medicine, training personnel, and the digitalization of healthcare, as well as the possibility of involving compatriots abroad in the development of the healthcare system in the country.
During the discussion, participants shared their experiences working in leading global clinics and proposed initiatives to improve domestic healthcare. Among the suggestions were modern technologies such as bronchoscopy and NGS diagnostics, the implementation of digital solutions, improvements in oncology, pulmonology, transplantation, and anesthesiology, as well as issues related to hemodialysis, the creation of mobile clinics, and simplifying the licensing of doctors.
Most of the proposals concerned staffing issues. Participants expressed their willingness to assist in training Kyrgyz specialists, organizing internships, conducting lectures and expert reports, as well as inviting professors to perform surgeries and conduct master classes. Conditions for the return of specialists to Kyrgyzstan and their participation in professional projects were also discussed.
The deputy ministers emphasized the importance of attracting foreign specialists as a resource for the development of domestic healthcare. They highlighted the intention to create platforms for experience exchange, including in-person and online meetings in countries with a high concentration of Kyrgyz doctors, participation in the Mirrahimov Readings, and in digital and staffing reforms.
In conclusion, Bakytbek Kadyraliev, on behalf of the Minister of Health Kanibek Dosmambetov, thanked the participants, noting that the state is interested in strengthening professional ties with compatriots abroad. “The shortage of personnel in medicine is one of the main challenges facing the country. We are open to cooperation and will seek practical solutions to attract experience, knowledge, and technologies in the interests of our patients,” he added.
The Ministry of Health announced that such meetings will be held regularly.
