The alleged perpetrator of the young man's death has been detained by the police in the Osh region. This information was announced by the press service of the regional internal affairs department.
The incident, which claimed the life of 25-year-old E. M. (born in 1999), occurred on January 24. The Uzgen district police department received a signal from a local hospital where the victim was taken. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he could not survive — he died from a serious injury inflicted by a sharp object.
In connection with this, the investigative authorities initiated a criminal case under Article 122 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic ("Murder"). During operational activities, investigators quickly established the identity and whereabouts of the suspect. He turned out to be a 30-year-old local resident named K. uulu S., who attempted to flee after the incident. He is currently detained and held in a temporary detention facility.
According to preliminary data from the investigation, the tragedy was triggered by a common dispute between the men regarding the right of way on the road. Several forensic examinations have been appointed, and law enforcement agencies continue to gather evidence.
