According to information provided by the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Osh region, on January 24, 2026, a signal was received at the Uzgen District Internal Affairs Department from the territorial hospital that a 24-year-old citizen E.M., born in 1999, had died from severe injuries inflicted by a sharp object.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 122 ("Murder") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, and operational investigative actions were started.
On the same day, as a result of operational search activities, officers of the criminal investigation department of the Uzgen District Internal Affairs Department managed to detain the suspect — 30-year-old K. uulu S., born in 1993, who had fled the scene of the incident. He is currently placed in a temporary detention facility.
According to preliminary data from the investigation, a quarrel occurred between the deceased E.M. and the suspect K. uulu S. over a dispute regarding passage on the roadway.
