Yuri Gorbenko, head of one of the hunting groups of the Issyk-Kul regional public association of hunters and fishermen, shared details of the hunt that took place on January 24, 2026. The hunters began their activities in the morning twilight, when silence still reigned over the water body and reeds. "The snow that fell the day before helped us see fresh jackal tracks. We organized several drives and ultimately managed to capture 7 jackals. Our hunter Alexander particularly stood out, as he was able to hit two jackals with just two shots," noted Gorbenko.
