In 2026, as part of the second phase of the "Safe Country" project, more than 20,000 video cameras are planned to be installed in Kyrgyzstan. This became known at a meeting dedicated to summarizing the work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for 2025, which was held by Ulan Niyazbekov, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
He emphasized that modern digital technologies are being implemented in the country, significantly increasing the level of safety in public places, on the streets, and in tourist areas.
“We are focusing not only on maintaining public order and combating crime but also on improving the quality of service for citizens, as well as providing prompt and quality assistance to both local residents and tourists. As a result of these efforts, nearly 10,000 crimes have been prevented,” the minister added.
