Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic: About 10,000 crimes prevented in 2025

A meeting of the board was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where the results of the work of internal affairs agencies for 2025 were summarized. The press service of the Cabinet reports that the event was attended by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev, Minister of Internal Affairs Lieutenant General of Police Ulan Niyazbekov, as well as the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and its structural divisions.

One of the main agenda items was the discussion of the results of the activities of internal affairs agencies for 2025, the implementation of the "Safe Country" program, improving the quality of service for citizens, and determining priority areas for the work of law enforcement agencies.

Minister Ulan Niyazbekov, opening the meeting, emphasized the significant results of 2025, noting that law enforcement agencies have begun to actively apply modern technologies and digital solutions to enhance public safety.

According to the data presented, the crime rate in 2025 significantly decreased, and the crime detection rates improved. The Ministry of Internal Affairs ensured high order at more than 120 mass events of international, state, and official nature, while preventing serious violations of the law. In the republic, over a hundred modern service buildings have also been put into operation, significantly improving the working conditions for police officers.

At the initiative of the head of state, the transition from the "Safe City" project to the "Safe Country" continues. The first stage of the new initiative started in June 2025, and a tourist-ecological battalion equipped with modern equipment was formed in the Issyk-Kul region, which contributed to a reduction in crime during the tourist season.

The minister noted that the Ministry of Internal Affairs not only focuses on maintaining order but also strives to improve the quality of service for citizens. In 2025, nearly 10,000 crimes were prevented.

The second stage of the "Safe Country" project is planned for 2026. As part of this stage, more than 20,000 video cameras will be installed across the country, new digital programs will be implemented, and the security system in public places and tourist areas will be significantly improved.

In conclusion of his speech, Ulan Niyazbekov emphasized that the internal affairs agencies continue to systematically fulfill the assigned tasks and take effective measures to ensure the safety of citizens.

Adylbek Kasymaliev highlighted the key areas for the future activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the rule of law and ensuring public safety. During the board meeting, he presented state awards to employees of the internal affairs agencies who distinguished themselves in service.
