In the Kyrgyz Republic, a collegial meeting was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where the results of operational and service activities for the year 2025 were reviewed, as reported by the press service of the department.

Attending the meeting were: the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Head of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Kasymaliev, as well as the Minister of Internal Affairs Ulan Niyazbekov and heads of various structural divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The discussion focused on the results of the work of law enforcement agencies for 2025, the implementation of the "Safe Country" project, issues related to improving services for citizens, and determining priority areas for the work of law enforcement agencies.

In his opening speech, Ulan Niyazbekov emphasized the significant achievements made in 2025, noting that law enforcement agencies are beginning to actively implement modern methods and digital solutions to ensure public safety.

As a result of 2025, the crime rate in the country significantly decreased, and the crime clearance rates improved. The Ministry of Internal Affairs ensured a high level of public order and safety during more than 120 major international and state events, preventing serious violations of the law.

In addition, more than a hundred modern service buildings were put into operation, significantly improving working conditions for police officers.

Also, by the president's directive, a complete transition from the "Safe City" initiative to the "Safe Country" program has begun, the first phase of which started in June 2025. Within the framework of this project, a tourist-ecological battalion was established in the Issyk-Kul region to ensure public order, equipped with modern equipment and digital tools, which helps to significantly reduce the crime rate during the tourist season.

“We are focused not only on maintaining order and combating crime but also on improving the quality of service for citizens, responding promptly and effectively to the requests of Kyrgyz citizens and guests of the country. As a result, nearly 10,000 crimes were prevented,” the minister noted.

Ulan Niyazbekov emphasized that the second phase of the "Safe Country" project is scheduled for 2026, during which it is planned to install more than 20,000 video cameras across the republic and implement new digital programs, which will elevate the security system to a new level.

“The internal affairs agencies consistently and timely fulfill the assigned tasks and continue to take measures to ensure the safety of citizens,” the minister concluded his speech.

Adylbek Kasymaliev, in his speech, drew the attention of the meeting participants to the key areas for the further work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, outlining tasks to strengthen the rule of law and the safety of citizens.

During the collegial event, he also presented state awards to employees of the internal affairs agencies who have demonstrated outstanding results in their service.
