The Ministry of Energy denied the rolling blackouts in Kyrgyzstan
Nevertheless, "regulatory measures" have been implemented in the country.
In Kyrgyzstan, rolling blackouts are not being conducted. This was reported by Deputy Minister of Energy Altynbek Rysbekov at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh.
This comment was made in response to a question from Deputy Mahabat Mavlyanova, who raised the issue of constant power outages in the Nookat district.
According to Rysbekov, "rolling blackouts are not being applied. However, due to the low water level in the Toktogul reservoir, measures to regulate electricity consumption have been introduced since November. During morning and evening hours, the allowable consumption capacity for the population has been temporarily reduced from 5 kW to 3 kW," he added.
