According to law enforcement agencies, the victim stated that her wallet was stolen in minibus No. 161, which was traveling along Nekrasov Street towards the intersection with Leo Tolstoy Street. It contained 595,000 soms, 400 dollars, and jewelry valued at approximately 100,000 soms.
In connection with this fact, a criminal case was initiated under the article "Theft" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During operational-search activities, officers of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate managed to detain two men at the "Sary-Özön" market, identified as Sh. M. and Zh. A., both born in 1985. Both detainees had previously been convicted of serious crimes. They were initially placed in a temporary detention facility, after which the Lenin District Court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention in pre-trial detention center No. 1.
During a search of the Daewoo Nexia vehicle used by the suspects, jewelry belonging to the victim was found and seized.
As the investigation established, on the day of the theft, the suspects deliberately boarded a minibus heading to the "Dordoy" market, selecting their victim based on her appearance.
The Main Internal Affairs Directorate notes: "Being experienced pickpockets, they were able to visually determine that the woman was likely working at the specified market, after which they committed the theft. They then returned to their car in a Mercedes Transit taxi, paying for the ride with 1,000 soms from the previously stolen funds."
