The thieves tracked their victim
In Bishkek, pickpockets committed a theft on route taxi No. 161, stealing 595,000 soms, 400 dollars, and jewelry worth 100,000 soms. This was reported by the Main Department of Internal Affairs (GUVD).
On January 8, a woman named E.B. contacted the Lenin District Department of Internal Affairs. She reported that she had become a victim of theft while in a route taxi, where money and jewelry were stolen from her hand luggage.
As a result of operational actions carried out at the "Sary-Ozon" market, two suspects — Sh.M. and Zh.A., both born in 1985, were detained. Both men had previous convictions for serious crimes.
The investigation established that on the same morning, the detainees arrived at the market in a Daewoo Nexia car. They then got into a route taxi, where they chose a victim, presumably someone working at the market. After committing the theft, they left the taxi and took a taxi to their car, paying 1,000 soms.
During a search of their vehicle, the stolen jewelry was found.
The suspects were placed in the temporary detention facility of the GUVD, and the investigation is ongoing.
