The deputy proposes to ban the sale of alcohol in Kyrgyzstan during nighttime hours.

Marlen Mamataliyev, a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, has presented a draft amendment to the Law on the State Monopoly on the Production and Sale of Ethyl Alcohol, which is already available for public discussion on the parliament's website.

According to the proposed document, the sale of alcoholic beverages will be restricted from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM, with the following exceptions:

the sale of alcohol by organizations, farms, and individual entrepreneurs that provide catering services;

the sale of beer, cider, perry, and mead by individual entrepreneurs within the framework of catering services;

the sale of alcoholic products in duty-free shops for individuals leaving the territory of Kyrgyzstan.

In addition, the draft law includes a ban on the sale of alcoholic and low-alcohol tonic beverages in central squares, parks, gardens, squares, and recreational areas, as well as within 100 meters from their boundaries.
