As the mayor noted, the initiative came from President Sadyr Japarov during the opening of the new sports complex "Zhashtyk Arena".
A special working group has currently been formed to conduct a complete technical inspection of the building. The repair work will be carried out by the Bishkek city administration.
The mayor emphasized the importance of preserving architectural heritage.
“We intend to maintain the historical appearance of the Sports Palace. At the same time, we want to update it, making it multifunctional and modern, like the new 'Zhashtyk Arena'. The swimming pool will also be restored to its original condition,” added Aibek Junushaliev.
