Main factors - speeding, careless maneuvers, and alcohol


In 2025, over 8,000 road traffic accidents were registered in Kyrgyzstan. These results were presented at a meeting organized by the Main Department for Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Oktobyr Urmambetov, Head of the Internal Investigations Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Ulan Biibosunov, as well as Head of the Main Department of Road Safety Azhenbek Kozukeev and local department heads.

The main causes of road traffic accidents include exceeding the speed limit, improper maneuvers, driving into oncoming traffic, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, as well as failing to yield at intersections and disregarding traffic signs and distance regulations.
