Kyrgyzstan deployed 15 tons of questionable kumis from Russia at the border

At the checkpoint "Ak-Tilek," located in the Chui region, veterinary control officers stopped an attempt to illegally import a significant volume of kumis. The press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that 15,600 liters of this beverage were being brought in from Russia, but the cargo was detained and sent back.

During a scheduled inspection, veterinary control inspectors found that the labels on the kumis lacked information about the production date. This is a serious violation of veterinary and sanitary standards of the Kyrgyz Republic, as the absence of labeling complicates the control over the quality and freshness of the product.

As a result of the inspection, the necessary reports were drawn up, which formed the basis for the official ban on the import of this batch. All products exceeding 15 tons were forcibly sent back to Russia through the same border point. The ministry noted that veterinary and livestock services continue to operate in an enhanced mode to prevent the entry of potentially dangerous and low-quality products into the market of Kyrgyzstan.
