The autoclave intended for sterilization was put into operation in 1996.
During a session of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva raised the issue of serious problems faced by the National Center for Maternal and Child Health in Bishkek. She noted that the old autoclave for disinfecting medical instruments and equipment often breaks down.
More than a hundred instruments and materials need to be sterilized each day. When the autoclave is not working, all these items are transported for sterilization to Maternity Hospital No. 6 by ambulance.
The deputy emphasized that the instruments used for newborns should not be processed together with those used in purulent departments and other areas with dangerous infections. Such an approach violates sanitary norms and poses a threat to patient safety.
