The Center for Maternal and Child Health commented on the deputy's statement regarding the risks of cross-infection.
Deputy Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva raised the issue of cross-infection risks, pointing to the lack of an autoclave in this medical institution.
However, representatives of the center noted that they have two fully functioning sterilization centers located at two addresses — 190 Akhunbaeva Street and 1 Togolok Moldo Street.
“These centers can mutually replace each other if necessary, which completely eliminates the possibility of interruptions or failures in their operation,” the official statement said.
To ensure sterilization, the NCMMCH uses modern equipment: two new steam sterilizers that were put into operation in November 2025, two plasma sterilizers, and a GP-600 sterilizer, which is temporarily undergoing scheduled maintenance and will be available after January 16, 2026.
“All sterilization equipment operates in compliance with all sanitary and epidemiological standards, which completely prevents the risks of cross-infection. There is no shortage of equipment in the institution, and the sterilization centers are operating normally, which eliminates threats to patient health,” the center added.
