The Bashkir Epic "Ural-Batyr" Published for the First Time in Kyrgyz Language

The Bashkir epic "Ural-Batyr" has been published in the Kyrgyz language for the first time, with the support of the Bashkir State Pedagogical University named after M. Akmulla and the "Kitap" publishing house. This was reported by the publishing house itself.

The translation of the epic was carried out by Ibrahim Abduvaliev, a professor at the Jalal-Abad State University named after B. Osmonov.

Among the significant steps taken in 2013-2014, it is worth noting the agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Bashkortostan on the translation of national epics into various languages. As a result of this agreement, the Kyrgyz epic "Manas" was translated into Bashkir, and "Ural-Batyr" was translated into Kyrgyz.

In May 2025, Bashkir University named after M. Akmulla received the rights to publish translations of both epics.
