In the Chon-Kemin Nature Park, a snow leopard was released back into the wild

According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, a rare predator was spotted on December 29 at around 23:20 in the village of Boroldoy, located in the Kemin district. Preliminary data indicates that the snow leopard descended from the mountains and climbed a tree in the settlement.

Specialists arrived at the scene to assess the condition of the animal and confirmed that it was in satisfactory condition. After examining the snow leopard, it was returned to its natural habitat in the Chon-Kemin Nature Park.

The agency noted that the snow leopard is included in the Red Book and is considered a protected species. Citizens are reminded of the importance of immediately contacting the relevant services upon discovering wild animals and avoiding independent actions.
