More than half of applicants have a command of the state language above the average level. CCOO Report
The report also emphasizes that the results vary depending on the language in which the testing was conducted. Applicants who chose the Kyrgyz language mostly showed a high level or a level above average. Meanwhile, among those who took the test in Russian, there is a predominance of levels above average and average.
It is important to note that starting from 2024, applicants are required to pass the state language proficiency test to enroll in higher educational institutions. The results of this test do not affect the competition for admission; however, without successfully passing it, the ORT certificate will not be issued. Last year, 189 ORT participants were unable to obtain certificates and, as a result, lost the opportunity to enroll in universities because they did not pass the state language test.
