ORT-2025. Girls received more grants in universities and outscored boys in points
The average test score among girls was 6.7 points higher compared to boys — 130.1 versus 123.4. This trend has been observed in previous years as well.
In the "Mathematics" section, the difference in results was only 0.3 points. For comparison, in 2024, girls scored 1 point better in this same discipline compared to boys here.
In the "Analogies and Sentence Completion" test, girls scored 1.9 points more than boys. Additionally, in the "Reading and Comprehension" section, the difference was 1.3 points in favor of girls, and in the "Practical Grammar of the Chosen Language of Testing" test — 3.7 points, which also indicates that this part of the tests is traditionally easier for girls.
As for the state language test, the average score of girls was 0.3 points higher than that of boys (3.1 versus 2.8), which does not differ significantly from the overall results.
In subject tests, results also vary by gender. In most subjects, except for mathematics and physics, there were more girls who passed the testing than boys.
At the same time, boys showed better results in biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics, and English, with a difference of about 0.5 points in natural science subjects and 2.8 points in English. Girls, as before, performed more successfully in tests on history, Kyrgyz language and literature, as well as Russian language and literature.
In history, the difference in results was 0.5 points, in Kyrgyz language and literature — 7.7 points, and in Russian language and literature — 6.5 points, which also favors girls.
