Threatened wife and son with a knife — Police are investigating families with cases of domestic violence
Under the guidance of the head of GOM-1 of the Lenin District Internal Affairs Department, Altynbek Chynberdiev, families registered for domestic violence are being checked.
At the end of 2025, a 28-year-old woman, the mother of five children, reported her 30-year-old husband to law enforcement. He was detained and arrested for several days on charges of domestic violence. The woman noted that this was not the first incident — her husband had previously faced legal consequences.
Despite this, the woman continues to live with her husband and, while speaking with Chynberdiev, stated that there is currently peace in their home.
At the same time, a more serious case occurred in the Ak-Ordo-3 residential area: the head of GOM-1 decided to extend the protective order for the victim. The woman reported that her husband is unemployed and suffers from alcohol addiction, which leads to frequent conflicts in the family.
On the eve of the New Year, the man attempted to attack his wife with a knife, and their son intervened to protect his mother. After the incident, the police were called to the scene, and the man was sent for treatment at a drug rehabilitation clinic.
According to the woman, her husband was discharged on January 2, but he did not return home and is currently in an unknown location within the district.
