As part of the fight against domestic violence, preventive measures are being carried out. Thus, the head of GOM-1, Altynbek Chynberdiev, met with a woman who has five children and had previously contacted the police regarding her 30-year-old husband. The man was detained for several days. According to the woman, this was not an isolated incident—her husband already had legal problems.

Despite the incident, the woman continues to live with her husband, noting that there is currently peace in their family.

A case of domestic violence has also been registered in the residential area "Ak-Ordo-3." The victim was granted an extension of the protection order. Her husband, who is unemployed and suffers from alcohol dependence, periodically causes scandals. On the eve of the New Year, he attempted to attack his wife and son with a knife. The son intervened in an effort to protect his mother. As a result, the police decided to send the man for treatment at a drug rehabilitation clinic.

Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs urged the citizens of Kyrgyzstan to report cases of domestic violence during the holiday season.
