Jalil Sheyshenov Appointed Director of the Research Institute of Heart Surgery and Organ Transplantation

The Ministry of Health has announced the appointment of Jalil Sheishenov as the head of the Research Institute of Heart Surgery and Organ Transplantation.

Previously, this position was held by Samidin Shabyraliev, who was relieved of his duties due to identified violations in the work of the institute.

Jalil Orozobekovich Sheishenov was born in 1975 and received a medical education. In 1999, he graduated from the I.K. Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy with a degree in "General Medicine." From 1999 to 2002, he completed a clinical residency in cardiovascular surgery at the Scientific and Educational Center of the National Center for Cardiology and Therapy.

From 2002 to 2007, he worked as a cardiac surgeon in the acquired heart defects department of the Research Institute of Heart Surgery and Organ Transplantation.

From 2007 to 2021, Sheishenov headed the department of cardiac surgery at the Scientific Clinical Center for Cardiac Surgery and Transplantology located in the city of Taraz (Kazakhstan). From 2021 to 2023, he served as the deputy director of the center for medical work.

From the beginning of 2023 until January 2026, he worked as the chief physician of the Scientific Clinical Center "Bishkek Cardio."

In 2012, Jalil Sheishenov defended his dissertation and received the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences from the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation. He is the author of four innovative patents, as well as more than 40 scientific articles and 12 reports presented at international conferences.

From 2010 to 2023, he also worked as the chief specialist in cardiac surgery and an independent expert for the Health Department of the Zhambyl Region of Kazakhstan. Sheishenov is a member of the professional scientific societies EACTS and EAACTS.

His main areas of work include congenital heart defect surgery and minimally invasive cardiac surgery. For many years, he has also been engaged in organizational and methodological activities with primary care physicians, conducting consultations using air ambulance services and telemedicine.

Throughout his career in Kazakhstan, he has been awarded honorary certificates from the Ministry of Health and the "Excellence in Health Care" badge.
