The parliament will conduct an inventory of laws and regulations
“In the context of reforming the parliament, we are launching the work of a commission that will focus on the inventory of all adopted documents. Using the guillotine method, we plan to identify ineffective and non-functioning legal acts, as well as assess how effectively all current laws and resolutions are being implemented. The results of this work will be presented to the deputies,” he noted.
The Speaker also added that the Jogorku Kenesh intends to strengthen its oversight functions regarding the adopted regulatory legal acts.
Deputy Kamila Talieva expressed support for the inventory initiative, pointing out that many laws do not function properly or were adopted in violation of procedures. “It is important to check how exactly government agencies implement the adopted laws,” she emphasized.
