Matviyenko emphasized the significance of the visit, noting that choosing Russia for Mamataliyev's first foreign trip highlights the "priority of allied relations."
The economy also became an important topic of the meeting. It was discussed how important it is to align legislation and create more favorable conditions for doing business. In particular, they talked about increasing trade turnover to $5 billion, as well as expanding cooperation in the fields of energy, agriculture, transport, and tourism.
Mamataliyev expressed Kyrgyzstan's interest in deepening strategic partnership and proposed to more actively use parliamentary committees and international platforms for this purpose.

Mamataliyev also emphasized the increase in the representation of women in the Kyrgyz parliament, where currently 31 out of 90 deputies are women. This aspect became a separate topic for discussion.
