Kanatbek Chynybaev has been appointed as the acting Minister of Emergency Situations, as announced on March 10 through the press service of the President's administration.

Chynybaev, born on November 4, 1983, holds the rank of reserve lieutenant colonel. He graduated from the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razakov in 2006, and then completed the Academy of Civil Defense of the Russian Federation in 2018. From 2006 to 2022, he served in various units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan, and since July 15, 2022, he has worked at the Situational Center of the President's administration, remaining at the disposal of the personnel of the Armed Forces of the country. He has also been awarded several honors and medals.

It should be noted that the day before, the president dismissed Urmatbek Shamyrkanov from his position, who had held the ministerial post for only a month. President Sadyr Japarov's press secretary, Askat Alagozov, stated that this decision was made based on information confirmed by the Prosecutor General's Office regarding Shamyrkanov's past involvement in a bribery case.
