Emergency Situations Minister Urmatbek Shamyrcanov has been dismissed from office
Urmatbek Shamyrcanov, the Minister of Emergency Situations, has been dismissed from his position.

The president's press secretary commented on this decision, explaining that the grounds for the dismissal were suspicions of corrupt actions related to his previous work as Deputy Minister.

According to information, during the summer of 2025, Shamyrcanov allegedly demanded a bribe for promoting one of the ministry's employees. The employee claims that he transferred half of the specified amount to Shamyrcanov's electronic wallet.

After Shamyrcanov was appointed as minister, this employee stated that he was unable to transfer the remaining part of the sum. In response, the minister transferred him to a position in a department located in the Batken region.

Addressing President Sadyr Japarov, the transferred employee submitted a statement about the incident. The president instructed the General Prosecutor's Office to investigate the information contained in this appeal.
As a result of the investigation, the prosecutor's office confirmed the stated facts, which became the basis for Sadyr Japarov's decision to dismiss Urmatbek Shamyrcanov from the ministerial position.

The press secretary added that this incident vividly illustrates the proverb: "A dirty deed will become apparent even after 40 years."

"Today we live in an era where such unlawful actions are uncovered not after decades, but within just a few weeks. This should be a serious lesson for other public servants. If anyone is caught in similar crimes, the authorities will not turn a blind eye to it, even if the dismissed individual has just taken a high position," concluded the press secretary.
