With the arrival of warm days, the season for active use of electric scooters, bicycles, and short-term rentals of these vehicles has begun in Bishkek. In light of this situation, an emergency meeting was held at the city hall under the leadership of Ilyas Kolopov with participants from the kicksharing market.
One of the main topics of discussion was the desire to bring the operation of services into full compliance with current legislation and traffic rules. Municipal authorities strongly urged operators to ensure order in the use of personal mobility devices on the city streets.
The authorities recommended that companies significantly strengthen control over users. One of the key measures will be the introduction of strict sanctions for violators: for non-compliance with traffic rules, there may be temporary or even lifetime blocking of accounts in mobile applications.
The city hall calls on both local residents and visitors to the capital to act responsibly and adhere to safety rules. Creating a culture of mutual respect on the roads and sidewalks remains one of the main tasks of the city authorities.
