"What the outcome would be - is unknown"
The appeal, signed by 75 citizens and concerning early presidential elections, was sent to parliament, where it has already been reviewed by the relevant committee. This was reported by Talant Mamytov, the leader of the "Yntymak-Mekenchil" deputy group in the Jogorku Kenesh.
“This appeal has been submitted for consideration to the appropriate committee. The outcome of its discussion is still unknown. The speaker and the committee chair, after receiving the document, forwarded it for review, following the established legal procedures. A response to the interested parties was sent after the decision of the Constitutional Court,” Mamytov clarified, adding that the issue of election timelines should not fall within the competence of parliament.
