Deputy Talant Mamytov: The appeal of 75 was submitted to the Housing Committee, but was never considered
“We received a request from 75 people, most of whom are elders. This petition reached the relevant committee and was under consideration. The outcome of its review remains unknown. After its submission, the previous speaker and the committee chair sent it with a resolution on the need for discussion in accordance with the legislation. Additionally, after the decision of the Constitutional Court, a response was sent to the interested parties,” Mamytov added.
The deputy also noted that the issue of the election dates should not be discussed within the walls of Parliament, as only the Constitutional Court has the right to interpret the norms of the Constitution.
The petition was planned to be reviewed in the committee dealing with constitutional laws, state structure, local self-government, and the regulations of the Jogorku Kenesh.
