At the Livestock Market of Tokmok, Weapons Were Traded. Suspects Detained
On January 19, the police received information that weapons were being sold illegally at the livestock market in the city of Tokmok.
This fact was registered under Article 267 ("Illegal trafficking of weapons and ammunition") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As part of the investigation, the police conducted a controlled purchase and detained S.Z., born in 1982, and T.K., born in 1994.
At that time, a search was conducted on the first suspect, and the following items were found:
- rifled weapon of caliber 5.6 mm;
- shotgun model IZH-17, 12 gauge;
- barrel of a 16 gauge shotgun;
- more than 30 cartridges and shells of various calibers;
- components for reloading cartridges;
- 29 homemade knives; books of religious content;
- two state registration number plates;
- dried substance of plant origin (type to be determined).
The detainees were placed in the temporary detention facility. An investigation is underway.
