At the Livestock Market in Tokmok, Illegal Weapons Were Traded. Suspects Detained
On January 19, law enforcement agencies received information about the sale of illegal weapons at the livestock market in this city.
This case was registered in accordance with Article 267 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning the illegal trafficking of weapons and ammunition.
During the investigation, police officers conducted a controlled purchase, resulting in the detention of two individuals: S.Z., born in 1982, and T.K., born in 1994.
During a search, one of the detainees was found with:
- a firearm of caliber 5.6 mm;
- an IZH-17 shotgun of caliber 12;
- a barrel of a shotgun of caliber 16;
- more than 30 cartridges and shells of various calibers;
- components for reloading cartridges;
- 29 homemade knives;
- books of religious content;
- two state registration plates;
- dried plant material (identification is ongoing).
The suspects have been placed in a temporary detention facility. Investigative actions are ongoing.
