
It became known that on January 19, information was received that several unidentified individuals were planning to sell weapons at the livestock market in the city of Tokmok. This incident was registered at the Tokmok police department, leading to the initiation of a criminal case under Article 267 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (illegal trafficking of weapons and ammunition).
As part of the investigative actions, police officers organized a controlled purchase.
During a search at the residence of one of the main suspects, S. Z., various items were found and seized: rifled weapons of 5.6 mm caliber, an IZH-17 shotgun of 12 caliber, a 16 caliber shotgun barrel, more than 30 cartridges and shells of various calibers, components for reloading cartridges, 29 homemade knives, as well as two state registration numbers. Religious books and a dried plant substance were also found, with additional examinations scheduled to determine its nature.
Two citizens were brought to the Tokmok police department: S. Z., born in 1982, and T. K., born in 1994, who were placed in a temporary detention facility.
Investigative actions are ongoing, and forensic examinations have been appointed for the seized items.
