According to Turdumambetov, he registered with the Central Election Commission and conducted a referendum, submitting all necessary documents and paying an electoral deposit of 300,000 soms. "I have a receipt in hand," he noted in a conversation with Kaktus.media.
After registration, preparations for the campaign in Toktogul began. However, on November 2, employees of the GKNB stopped him in Kara-Balta and brought him to Bishkek, where at the Central Election Commission he was forced to write a statement refusing to participate in the elections "of his own accord." He emphasizes that this happened under pressure. Moreover, the deposit funds were not returned to him. The ex-deputy also added that after signing the document, he was prohibited from sharing information, and he preferred to remain silent, awaiting possible provocations and pressure on himself and his campaigners.
Turdumambetov filed an official complaint with President Sadyr Japarov and the General Prosecutor's Office, hoping for a review of the election results in constituency No. 14 and the appointment of a repeat vote. The winners in this constituency were:
- Borbiyev Bolotbek Ibraimovich.
- Sulaymanov Kunduzbek Koshaliyevich.
- Kultaeva Gulsharkan Okonovna.
At the Central Election Commission, Kaktus.media confirmed that Turdumambetov indeed submitted a statement, as this is his right. The members of the CEC do not have the authority to refuse to accept statements or to coerce their writing. "When candidates submit statements, their presence is mandatory, and this is recorded by the members of the CEC and the staff," the agency noted.
It was also added that he wrote the statement together with other candidates.
