The Constitutional Court has begun reviewing the submission from the President of Kyrgyzstan

On February 17 at 10:00, the Constitutional Court began examining the appeal of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding the interpretation of certain articles of the Constitution.

It has been reported that the court received a request for an official interpretation of the Constitution. The inquiry concerns the norms that define the terms of office for the current president, as well as the procedure for appointing both regular and early elections.

Previously, there was active discussion in the country about the possibility of early presidential elections. In particular, a petition signed by 75 citizens was submitted, requesting the holding of such elections.
