One of those dismissed was Minister of Transport Absattar Syrgabaev, who had held the position since June 2024. According to media reports, Syrgabaev is an "okul bala" (adopted son) of Kamchybek Tashiev, which made him one of the closest people to the head of the special services in the government.
Additionally, by presidential decree, the Minister of Emergency Situations Boobek Ajikeev, who had led the agency since 2020, and the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Meder Mashiev also lost their positions.
The president has already appointed acting officials to the vacated positions, whose candidacies will later be submitted to the Jogorku Kenesh. The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations is now Urmatbek Shamyurkanov, who previously served as Deputy Minister, while the Ministry of Natural Resources is headed by Akyl Toktobaev, the director of the State Enterprise "Gosgeologiya".
The appointment of the new Minister of Transport attracted the most attention. This department is now headed by Talantbek Soltobaev, who was previously the First Deputy Minister but was detained in September of this year on the orders of Kamchybek Tashiev.
