Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan outlined a schedule for visits and new projects


The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev, held a meeting with Ermek Kosherbaev, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, who visited Bishkek on an official visit. During the negotiations, the parties developed a schedule for mutual visits for the current year and discussed the implementation of joint projects.

Significant attention was paid to projects such as the construction of an industrial trade and logistics complex at the border of the two countries, the establishment of a wholesale distribution center in the Almaty region for the storage of vegetables and fruits, as well as the development of an alternative highway from Issyk-Kul to Almaty. Issues regarding the modernization of border crossing points and bridges on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border were also discussed.

The ministers thoroughly analyzed the current state of bilateral relations in areas such as politics, economics, water resources, and culture. Special attention was given to the need to activate interregional cooperation, including agriculture and industrial cooperation, where the parties see significant unrealized potential.

During the meeting, there was also an exchange of views on strengthening cooperation on international platforms. The ministers emphasized the similarity of positions on key issues of the regional agenda and expressed their readiness to support each other within international organizations.

The parties confirmed their commitment to expanding cultural and humanitarian ties, including initiatives in education, healthcare, and youth policy.

In conclusion of the meeting, Jeenbek Kulubaev invited representatives from Kazakhstan to actively participate in the upcoming VI World Nomad Games.
