In Kyrgyzstan, a review of educational programs in universities is planned with the aim of eliminating outdated and ineffective disciplines. Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov announced these intentions at a meeting of the Ministry of Science, Higher Education, and Innovations.

Edil Baisalov noted that the establishment of the new ministry was a priority step towards serious modernization of the higher education and science system. He emphasized that the ministry's task is to make universities centers for attracting talent and sources of relevant knowledge that can serve as a foundation for the country's long-term development.

The main focus during the review of the curricula will be on areas that are in demand in the economy.
