The process of reforming the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) is set to begin. This became known from sources working in law enforcement agencies.
The reorganization will take place under the careful guidance of the new leadership. The main focus will be on strengthening operations in the fields of intelligence and counterintelligence, as well as combating extremism and terrorism.
Recall that on February 10, President Sadyr Japarov ordered the removal of the chairman of the GKNB and his deputies from their positions.
The acting head of this agency has become Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov.
In addition, the Border Service has regained its status as an independent structure, and a new State Guard Service has been established, which reports directly to the president.
